POGS Election

The Managing Council will be as follows:
Office Bearers(7), President, President Elect, Vice-President, Executive Vice-President, General Secretary, Clinical Secretary & Treasurer
Council Members(20)
Last date to receive nominations is by 30 June 2020
Last date of withdrawal of applications will be 15 July 2020 5 p.m.

A member can apply for maximum ONE council members post & ONE office bearers post. However he/she can contest for only ONE post. If the withdrawal letter for the post that the member does not wish to contest is not received in stipulated time (15 July 2020 5 p.m.), the member will not be allowed to contest for any post in that year.

Eligibility Criteria for holding various posts in the managing committee would be as follows:
For applying for any post: Person applying for any post of managing committee should be a member of POGS in the year of application as well as in the year of his/her tenure as Managing Committee Member.

For Council Members:
He/She should be member of Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society for at least 3 years as on 31 March of the prevalent year i.e. year of application for election of the post.
For the post of Clinical Secretary & Treasurer:
He/She should have been member of Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society for at least 6 (six) completed years at the time of application for election to the post.
He/She should have been Council Member of Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society for at least 3 (three) completed years at the time of application for election to the post.

For the post of General Secretary, Executive Vice-President, Vice-President:
He/She should have been Member of Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society for at least 6 (six) completed years at the time of application for election to the post.
He/She should have been Council Member of Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society for at least 3 (three) completed years at the time of application for election to the post.

For the post of President Elect:
The member should be a member of any FOGSI society for at least 10 years as on 31 March of that year i.e. at the time of application for election to the post.
He/She should have been General Secretary of Pune Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society.
He/She should have been Executive Vice-President OR Vice-President of Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society in any of the preceding years or should be holding the post of Vice-President or Executive Vice-President i.e. at the time of application for election to the post.
President Elect would become President of the Society in the following year. There would be no election for the post of President.
v. President of the Society would not be eligible to hold any lower post in the Managing Committee including Sub-Committee Chairmanship in the future.
vi. Office bearers would NOT be eligible for re-election for the SAME post.
